International Robotics Competition, Robochallenge 2015 – The countdown has begun!

 

Between October 31 and November 1, Electronics Students League and ETTI Robochallenge, in partnership with the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, organize the 8th edition of the International Robotics Competition, Robochallenge 2015, addressed to the young robotics enthusiasts, which will take place in the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology (Bucharest).

 

With a tradition of over 7 years Robochallenge has become the largest robotics competition in Romania, gathering year by year, over 200 competitors, making a total of 700 robots from diverse corners of the world. Among the participants already enrolled in this edition we have teams from Mexico, Turkey or Brazil.

 

As usual, this year Robochallenge brings to the fore a few surprises. The competition will consist of a total of 10 challenges, including new ones, such as Air Race or Humanoid Robots, any enthusiast being able to choose what suits him best. Starting with this edition, the International Robotics Competition Robochallenge is honored to announce a partnership with Fujisoft Incorporated. The prizes consist of three invitations to the winners of Mega Sumo in Tokyo, Japan, for 7 days in order to participate in All Japan Robot-Sumo International Tournament.

 

As Robochallenge is a developing project, the partners of the competition are a real support: Gold – TME, HP, JSumo, Microchip, Silver – Brainspotting, IBM, TV Giurgiu, Bronze – Cisco, Teatrul Evreiesc, Infineon, Atelier 13, along with supporters –  UNSR, Redbull. Also, among those who provide visibility in the press and online are Jurnalul de Afaceri, Știință&Tehnică, ITChannel, Agora, România Pozitivă, revoBlog, IQool, Cariere Online, TV City, bucuresteni.ro, studenții.ro ziare.com, inOras.ro or vinsieu.ro

 

Registration for the competition that combines fun and science is open for both students and any other robotics enthusiasts until 15th October 2015.
