Federal M.T. | Team Uai!rrior
Robot and Team Name
Robot: Federal M.T. Team Name: Team Uai!rrior
When you build? And Duration of progress
Federal M.T. was built in 2012 and it took around three months to set it. We put together the project from Autodesk Inventor, the electronic boards made on Altium Designer all together in our workshop, with the help of our sponsors.
What was the hardest part you achieved?
The hardest part to achieve was the Weapon because it is a complex disc that requires highly expensive CNC machining due to the fact that the disc is a one-piece material with a lot of details with the go-to achieve more range and precision on the attack.
Robot’s Total Weight
27,7 kg
Maximum speed it can achieve
6,64 m/s
Which batteries it uses?
Federal M.T. uses three batteries from Maxamps in parallel of 6s and 2000mAh each, reaching a final capacity and voltage of 25,2V and 6000mAh respectively.
Motor models and reduction system?
The motors that we use for Federal M.T. locomotion are the Scorpion SII 4035 – 250 KV with a max power of 1448,685 watts. And for the gear system, we use one that was a project made by our own that called PG60, which was inspired by WG120. And now for the Weapon motor, we use the Scorpion 5035 – 410 KV, which uses a toothed belt to transfer the motor power.
At your robot what is more stronger, torque or speed?
Both.
Also please explain your electronics. Which Microcontroller system is used? What is compliementary circuits like regulator boards, motor drivers or other sensors…
The category of Combat Robot normally does not apply sensors. For Federal M.T. we use two ESCs, one is called RX8, from Tekin, made for motors brushless, and with it, we control our locomotion. The other one is the Trackstar, this ESC is used to control our weapon system.
How did you made your PCBs, custom made or factory production? Or ready boards?
We normally make our own PCBs, using the Altium Designer, and at the end of the year we send the project to our sponsor called Circubras, and with that, we fill in the necessity of our team. But for the case of Federal M.T., we did not achieve the knowledge needed to fully trust it to use in our brushless robot, with that in mind, we use the RX8 and the Trackstar to fill this need.
Has the robot competed in any competition/tournament? Did it win any prize place/places?
Yes, Federal M.T. is the second Robot with more titles in our Team, just losing for our Team of Hockeys. In total Federal M.T. counts with 17 international and national titles, one country that Federal M.T. conquers a trophy was the United States, in the Robogames.
What do you plan for future on that robot?
Federal M.T. is always getting updates, readjusting to the scenery of the robot combat, being on his 6th version since 2012. One of the elements that our robot differentiates from other teams, and what makes him a champion, is his versatility, having specific front protection for each opponent. And every year we get together to discuss more strategies to develop against our opponents. With that in mind, we plan to keep our title of the robot with most titles in his category.

Hello Admin..
I Syazwan from Malaysia..
I very interested with this combat robot..
Can I know what the kind of belting use to rotate your weapon?
Have some special belting..
Thank for your sharing.

Belts should have thick teeth like 5M teeth.
